WHAT IS SEQUENCE DANCING?
Modern Sequence Dancing is based on the standard Ballroom and Latin dances, e. g. Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Rumba, Cha Cha, Mambo, Salsa, Samba, Tango, etc.
There are also other dances based on Classical (Old Time), e. g. Blues, Saunter, Swing. Etc.
Everyone dances the same 16 bar routine together and because the same routine is being done by everyone they become quite easy.
Sequence dances are friendly and enjoyable social events. Beginners are made very welcome and helped with the dances.
DAY:
We meet most Tuesday nights, the third Sunday in the months of Jan, Mar, May, Jul, Sep & Nov.
New members and visitors welcome to come to any of our dances.
TIME:
Tuesday night Dances 7-30 to 9-45 p.m.
Sunday Afternoon Dances 2-15 to 5-15 p.m.,
(Please let us know if you are coming to the Sunday afternoon dances).
LOCATION:
Tuesdays: Normally the Medway Hall, Angel Leisure Centre, Angel Lane, Tonbridge, Kent.
When the Angel Centre cancels our booking on a Tuesday we move to other halls in the Tonbridge area, (please ring to find out where we are).
Sundays: Medway Hall, Angel Leisure Centre, Angel Lane, Tonbridge, Kent.
